Best BOV
I put up the topic in the forum to find out how people their BOV so I could decide which one I should get but I'm still not sure. I got a cheap $50 from online performace and it's a piece of crap. It leaks at ilde and at low boost makes a weird farting sounds and at high boost it doesn't sound like it's releasing a lot of air. I found out after trying to be cheap out my project that you do it right the first time and you do it once and save yourself a lot of headaches. So I guess what I'm asking is putting price aside what is the best BOV you can buy. I thought about getting either a tial, HKS SSVQ, Apexi twin chamber, and any others people can suggest. Any input would be a great help. Thanks

Re:Best BOV
the bov piston is in the closed position, the are holes surrounding the piston where the air gets released out of, is where the leak is. If you put your hand up to one of the holes it will suck you hand to it. I thought about getting a HKS because they will not leak at idle.

Re:Best BOV
dude almost all bov stay open at idle cause there vacum going to it so the valve will be open abit this will not cause a vacum leak since the bov is mounted on the charge pipes not the manifold.
I say spend big $$$$ on the hks one so you can feel cool :P

Re:Best BOV
It almost has to stay open at idle. If it wasn't open at idle, when your @ max vac, which is the principle it works on, when would you want it open?
Obviously, if it's NOT open @ idle there is a problem. After all, when you let off the gas (like at idle) thats when you want it to open... to vent off your boost...
I don't see how you think it should work?
