Re:sohc stroker
I got a vid of his car was boosting only 15 psi...the road wasn't that friendly kinda bumpy.
Why won't you believe it??
That man got excess to a lt of things...I saw a pic of the supercharger it has some kinda of composite or carbon blades....less heat less weight. and the blades were bigger also. If you got resoarces and excess to stuff and companies like he has...almost anything is possible.

The blower was supposely not modded, execpt to get the benz blower to bolt on. They come with carbon fiber rotors/blades, but the benz has a clutch pulley so that the blower only drags on the engine when it needs to.
COME ON !! 29psi JRSC !!! And on top of that, you beleive a stock block D16A6 can handle 29psi ( wow, its de-stroked, now its bullet proof ? )!!!
11's on street tires is just about insane, and I'm not talking about DRs, where talking like BFG Comp. TA type street tire..
15psi sounds reallistic with the upgraded benz stuff, but even that is pushing it on a D16-15, not to meantion since this dude is some kinda cylinder head guru, he's 15psi is like are 22psi, so he's current 29psi set-up is like are 35psi set-ups !!!
Basicly, it just doesn't add-up... I have a WRX turbo that runs 10's, has a T-88 compressor wheel, and benz traction control adapted to it.... So basiclly it looks like a WRX turbocharged D16Z6, but it has a B20 crank, so its a D20 with 35psi.... Believe me ?

Re:sohc stroker
It's not a stock block D16...it's has stock sleeves, but he has forged internals. And I've never read it was running 29 psi...he said 24 psi max boost...and not all the time.
His car was in an a Hot rod artical not long ago.
He's not only a cylinder head guru.....cylinder heads are just a part of his job. And the blower is modded though.....he is also using an IC.
I know someone that was running 20 psi on a stock D15 and stock D16...stock internals...he had some good tuning with a haltec system and the turbo wasn't that big to make a lot of power(was some yunkyard T3). the only problems was that he melted a lot of pistons....stock cast pistons can't take all the heat. boost doesn't break your engine..bad tuning and to much power if the internals can't handle it.
if you destroke a D16 it's R/S ratio gets better and that takes a lot of stress that is going on the sleeves by the pistons side load. And the crank is a custom crank.
Larry doesn't talk about his civic anymore though because he doesn't have to convince anyone....He already explained what was done to the engine etc on his forum.
I don't care if he made 400+ hp on it...but I know for a fact that 24 psi is very realistic with a supercharger if you take everything into consideration. I just started automotive engineering and I've seen some things that I didn't know was possible.
