Default B18 Stroker Cranks... Tuner Toys wants your opinions.

(Mods feel free to move this if GD is inappropriate...)

Hey Guys,

Our connecting rod manufacturer now offers stroker cranks for the B18A and B18B engines. The are available in 4340 and 4130 Forged Steel, and in strokes of 89, 92, 95, 97, and 98mm. I have seen a couple of samples of these, and they look pretty nice, they even appear to be knife-edged from the factory.

So do you guys think this is something we should carry? We should be able to offer these at almost half the price of the equivalent Eagle offering.

Post up and let us know!

Craig

I never understood why stroker kits were no good for boosted motors, but if they made them for a B16 I'd be interested.

For an LS motor...probably not.

These would sell well on Honda Tech for all motor guys if they dont hate on it because its not Full Race or ERL approved A stroker crank for the B16 would be handy though

That sounds like a good topic to research...

Ditto, maybe I'll research by calling Eagle and getting their opinion on boosting with their Stroker Kit...

I got tired if the "quick to hate" crowd on HT a long time ago. I try to stay away from there if at all possible.

Thanks for the input guys and keep it coming please!

I love my stroker.

Why dont people want them in boosted applications? I dont get it? Larger displacement....forged crank, what would be the downfall?

Also, how well are these things balanced?

they already exist for damn near free... a B18C 87.2mm crank, B18A/B and B20B/Z 89mm cranks will both swap into a B16A just fine... there is no need to buy an expensive *** aftermarket crank for that, stock cranks are good for shittons of boost/HP...

and.....77.4 FTW

Holly ----!! Stuff that 98mm. in a B16 block.

I bet at least one person gets into to the R/S BS. Meh, I'd kinda like to try one out but I do't know if they would be a hot seller for you.
