Why does everyone think when someone sleeve there block that it is a performance sleeve job?

Re:raized deck highth

anchor cement swells and destorts the cylenders but it makes the whole block stronger top to bottom.

I easily saw the backwords listing of mods that he did (or is doing). I really don't think he filled the block and then had it sent out to be sleeved. I think he was listing what he is planning on doing to it and the "filling of the block" came to mind before the sleeving. That's how I see it anyway. :-\

i dont think so stealthy...look at what he said: the reason he is getting it sleeved is because the cement distorts the walls, meaning he already did it. either way, i would be interested in pics of this setup and its progress

Re:raized deck highth

I filled the block before the machine work so the block would be in its finel state of movement before the machine work.

Re:raized deck highth

well usually what one would do is get the block sleeved with aftermarket sleeves and call it a day, or if you want to use stock sleeves, you would get it sleeved, then fill it, then get it bored to fix the possible distortion from the cement. That is why we are all scratching our heads on this one, since you are not taking what we would call the normal approach ;) so that is why we are curious.

Re:raized deck highth

the sleeves will be destortd as they are pushed in to the block. the pushing destorts the block the cement helps keep it solid then the finel work is done. if the cement is installed after the finnel work the block any block dose not messer square. This is anchor cement it set with a swelling efect. This is a old trick that is very good for soft mettel blocks

Re:raized deck highth

but you put the cement in the water passage correct? btw: the cement itself can distort the block from what ive heard
