think of it this way. make a stencil of the deck, trace it onto a piece of 1" aluminum, and weld that fucker on there.

IMHO 1" was way too much. you would have gotten the job done at 1/2" and saved yourself some R/S ratio. GL with the thing man.

OMG is all i can say. Dude that thing is going to be ruthless. I think i am safe to assume that this is not going to be a daily driver. Good luck with the project!

I'm just thinking of the inside of the cylinder. There must be a groove there, right? I can't see that being good with a piston sliding up and down at 8000rpm. ??? I suppose they might have some special thing they do to make it flawlessly smooth? Even then, I'm sure that would be a super weak spot in the cylinder wall with all kidns of hot spots. :-\

Oops, I forgot he said he was having it sleeved. :-[ That makes more sense, but it still seems hokey. :-\

Stock replacements sleeves you can buy in long ductile pipes...the shop cuts it into your desired lenght :P

i still dont get why he filled part of the water passage and then is having it sleeved, wouldnt you have to take out all the ---- he just filled it with?

he sleeved it with replacements ductile sleeves...not Benson sleeves or any of that performance sleeve.
Why does everyone think when someone sleeve there block that it is a performance sleeve job?
