gs-r's are only obd1. 92+. they didnt make an obd0 GSR ecu from the factory. I think the best method would be to get a JDM B16a1 obd0 ecu and chip it w/ GSR maps.

so once you figure out how to manage it what do you do to the LS block to make it like to have a vtec head? I've pulled the head off my engine 2 times now so I know what it all looks like. I know that something needs to be bored out or something? and an oil line needs to be run. can someone explain all the details of that?

you need to bore down pin holes, the LS blocks have larger dowels.

yeah, you bore the "dowel" holes a little bigger, i forget the actual size, look at jeff's write up. as far as the oil line, you plug the oil feed hole on the bottom of the head (usually get the head resurfaced after this) where the vtec block would usually feed the head the oil, then just tap into the side of the head and run the oil line from there to your sender (just like for a turbo, except it's going to the head, not a turbo)

anybody have pictures of the side of the vtec head taped? I can't really picture this. What would you use to plug the oil hole? I don't think my vtec head could take another resurfacing, it's already been shaved a few times.

If you're not as into messing with "boring" those holes to make the dowel sides match up, just get some Golden Eagle dowel pins (it's a set of two) There are specifically made for attaching the VTEC heads to non-vtec engines (B18a b18b b20b b20z) They allow you to skip the whole drilling process for those who are ---- about their VTEC heads. They are about $25. Get on google and search them I'm sure you could probably find a better deal.
