well, i know for my obd2 engine that i swapped into the teg, all i did was use my obd1 injectors and dizzy, but i'm not familiar with obd0, so i'm not sure if it's the same for obd1 to obd0. i just think it would be a lot easier finding an obd1 head/manifold. and the only reason i'm suggesting swapping a complete harness is just because of the fact that you wouldn't have to wire in the vtec solenoid, you could just plug it right up.

sounds like a plan kevin..

now.,.. keep in mind i've never pulled or even seen a car honda w/o a motor in it so this is all new to me.

question.. harnesses.. is there a plug at the firewall or is it one long cable.

example 1.

ENGINE |-----------| ECU

example 2.

ENGINE |-------|FIREWALL|------| ECU

^^^ is there a plug here or just a grommet?

i believe there is just a grommet that the bundle of wires pass through to you ecu. i've never paid too close attention, but i think i would remember seeing another plug

2 connectors on each sides of the engine. 3 plugs on the right, and 2 on the left, disconnect those along with a few little others, and you can leave the entire engine harness on the engine when you pull it out.. its the easiest way.

You may want to look into turboedit or ghettodyne for your ls/vtec... you can program it anyway you want, its obd0 and you have that option for boost later down the road.
