I believe (don't quote me though) that the d15b7 bottom end is the same as yours...the only difference is in the head. Also, use the timing belt from the y8 head. Be careful when boosting it though, cause your C/R is up there. The d15's have flat top pistons, while the z6's/y8's are dished. Add onto that the combustion chamber is slightly smaller too(better quench, but higher c/r). In my opinion, i would say look into a MLS head gasket, since your c/r is gonna be up around 10.5:1 or so, depending on the gasket.

Yea, im going to use a Cometic MLS head that is like .67mm or i could get higher, because i really want a lower compression. They are priced at around 100 on ebay.

Which car does the B7 come in?? The EG DX?? or CX?

I need to find a pic of the VX block, and look at their pistons, the motor has a 9.1:1 C/R stock is what ive read. So Im not sure about the pistons, maybe, i just would think that they are slightly dish, because of the low compression the motor has? The head makes a difference tho!

Well today i decided to say ---- it, and going to build up the Y7 i have, all i need is rods, rings, and bearings. Then get the headgasket for that, im not going to ---- with the VX destroyed rings block!! ahha

Im going to get a cheap y8 or thinner gasket, run it N/A for a few months, mess with it, then put rebuilt y7/y8 head in it, and break it in, then put the snail kit on! Definetly going to get a nice thick head gasket for it tho!
