Once you pull the jumper the cel should go off.
Was the car up and running before you swapped the TB? Or has it never been running before?

ok tranny fluid wasnt the problem all though it was comlpetley dry (found out the asshat who sold me the tranny didnt say anything about 3rd gear scrape, bleh.)
the grinding noise is actually i believe a HUGE vacuum leak. idle is rough, and when i apply throttle it goes away. ive looked under the car everywhere and i cant seem to trace it, i want to go put on like some ear muffs with a tube and a directional pointer to pinpoint the vacuum leak becuase im lost.

Re: finished b18b swap but dies when throttle is applied
found it
seems when i swapped over to the b20 throttle body there is a whole in the bottom that was leaking mad air, i totally ghetto rigged a vaccum hose with some electrical tape rapped around and shoved it up in the whole so its nice and tight then ran it into the intake, it made the noise go away, brought down the idle, and it is idling at about 800 but still a bit rough.
good enough for now.
