I have a single cam trans i just bought from some guy and im wondering if i got what i payed for?? I was looking for a z6 or y8 trans.. The trans has the code s40 at the beggining! I believe that is a y8 trans.. But some people say its a y8 some people say its a dx d15 tranny?? Which is it??

 

96-00 tranny...........cannot tell if it is a EX/DX/HX unless you give the casting code.

and since USDM didn't have a 96-00 D15.........well you might have been suckered.
