Default finished b18b swap but dies when throttle is applied

b18b 94 civic

i replaced the throttle body from a crv so i know i have a good tps and good map sensor

but my idle is about 1500, i hear a strange whistling noise, and when i give it gas, it automatically dies. its also running rich,

i used the injectors from the b18b but i had to splice them. is it possible the injector wires are backwards? can this happen

timing seems fine. i havent checked the codes yet, but i think it could be from igniter or coil?

thoughts?

so i go to check the codes, im getting a solid check engine light

i unplug the map sensor and it goes all over the place, so i know the map is good, strange that it affects the ecu even though its in limp mode?

also i unplug the tcs and nothing happens, still die when i give it gas

oh its running SUPER rich i got a headache from gas fumes.

any ideas??

The solid cel means you have no codes in obd1/2 that are being thrown. I'll bet you money that if you swap the tps plug and the map sensor plug it'll run just fine.

Nope...I'm telling ya...switch the plugs between the TPS sensor and MAP sensor. This is a common one to get mixed up, both plugs are identical and both run with the same 5v values. Even with them switched around you'll never get a cel code for 'em. The solid cel when you jump the connector is supposed to be that way...it means you have no codes stored on the ecu. Once you pull the jumper the cel should go off.

Was the car up and running before you swapped the TB? Or has it never been running before?
