Well when I ran a dohc zc with an hf trans in my brothers crx 10 years ago basically same gearing has a cx I had nothign but problems. Car ran like *** and had major issues with the 02 sensor. New wiring/new sensors etc nothing but problems and it would occur within about 5 minutes of driving

Switched to si transmission. Cars o2 sensor problem went away right away never returned and car was getting low to mid 30 mpg. Then switched to a d15b carbed jdm motor converted to fuel injection, ported head,z6 manifold and si camshaft. Mileage shot up to high 30's running on stock 90-91 pm6 usdm si crx/civic ecu

I lived it already. You wont save gas mileage with that set up. The car will struggle to get up to speed causing way to much load and wasting gas and guess what the 02 problems I experinced back in the 90's has a teenager. I didnt have the joys of the internet and people telling me it was a ------ stupid idea. I had the joys of swapping motors/transmissions/gearing to find out honda got it right with the transmission gearing for the motors

If you want to save gas mileage get a wideband and lean out partial throttle cruise my buddy was getting low 40's with his high compression frankestein all motor vtec d series with get this with si transmission

53 mpg with a stock DX tranny on a D15B7, Z6 would get 46-47 mpg.

When I had a dx transmsision on my old zc I never did pay attention much to mileage hell it was like 1.50 a gallon so stealing my dads cans would cover my gas for a week
