Default Ls tranny vs b16 tranny

My setup on my 99 civic is gonna be a ls/vtec with a vortech supercharger. I need to decide before the night is over if whether or not i stick with the b16 tranny, or go with the ls tranny. How much taller is the gearing on the ls tranny vs the b16? Would there be any benifits to going with the ls tranny? Which would give me a better quarter mile time? How much lower rpm would the ls tranny be at a given rpm vs the b16?
Any feedback is appreciated.

all I know is that 4000 rpms in 5th at 65-70 mph sucks *** and I'm going to get an LS tranny.

i think for a supercharger go for the b16 tranny
but for a turbo ls is better to help with the spool up time

HELL NO! stick with the b16 tranny. the ls gears are way too long! youll regret it! b16 tranny has short gearing which means better acceleration regardless if your turbo or supercharged! ls sucks ***! the only good this about the ls tranny is top end. if you plan on driving faster that 140 get the ls, for drag, b16 all the way............... :P

I guess i should add that if i go the ls gears, i will keep the b16 final drive ratio, does that change anything?

It looks like with a b16 tranny with a 7600 rpm redline and 23.456692913385826 tires, it will shift as follows
1st 37
2nd 57
3rd 83
4th 109
5th 142
and i can drive along at 80 at 4300 rpm

with the b16 final drive ratio and ls gears and a 7600 rpm redline and 23.456692913385826 tires, it will shift as follows
1st 37
2nd 63
3rd 95
4th 125
5th 169
and i can drive along at 80 at 3600 rpm

Ideally in the quarter i would want to be at the top of 4th gear....sticking with the b16 that will give me a max of 109 trap speed....what time should this work out to?

Ive had both on my boosted B16, and in the end an s1 or j1 will be faster 1/4 than an LS. I blew up my s1, so now Im with an LS. The LS is very nice around town and freeway, but sometimes I wish I had my old one.
As for the gears, I shift at around 8400-8500 and that puts em at:
1st 40ish
2nd 70-74
3rd 100-105
