yea i am getting the si tranny too. im just worried cause the car has 175k miles on it, i mean im gonna be rebiulding the motor so that gonna be brand new and since my dx tranny has about 90k i was gonna use that and keep the si one as back up. just my thoughts

 

if you feel comfortable opening up the tranny, just swap the si final drive into ur dx trans... also... was the car wrecked? if it wasn't... i would pass on the motor...

 

it was wrecked from behind. so the whole motor is good. i understand that if it wasnt wrecked the motor probably blew up or something but since it was hit im ok

 

Well, if your going to build it anyways, it doesn't really matter, does it? I guess it will depend on how much you were going to build it to. If it was hit from the back and ONLY has 175k miles, come on it's a Honda, you should be fine. But either way great find for $100

i gots a tranny, the oddball year tho 88 crx si tranny.... swapped in a 90-91 ZC w/LSD instead... let me know if you want it for CHEAP.

 

thats the year this car is. its an 88 si. i talked to the guy and hes gonna give me the tranny too for the 100 bux that im paying for the motor. ill put it in an see how she works. if not i still got that dx one
