I guess since I'm getting paid today it's time to order parts for the new computer.

Installed Win7.

Except for my old wireless card not being supported, it works ****. So for now, I'm using ethernet cord > dd-wrt flashed linksys router configured for client mode.

At startup had 6 processes running. Nice extra features.

IIRC, linksys is having an issue with working with win7 for some reason.

personally i am using a belkin router ($20) and belkin card ($20) with belkin driver suite for vista installed and it works just fine. been using this setup for about 3 years now i would guess.

win7 didnt recognize the wifi card at first, installed the drivers for vista. install suite didnt "crash" but it didnt show the "install complete" screen. but during the driver install process, win7 did recognize the card and the little pop up said it was working. 5 mins later and I am still on the "installing drivers" screen from the install suite, so i force closed the install, rebooted, and all was well in the WWW.
