for those that care...

windows 7 is available from microsoft right now.

i am currently downloading both the 32bit and 64bit and will have dl'd both in less than an hour. currently getting about 900-1100 kb/s avg.

currently, i have installed win7 and using it right now and i must say that this sombitch is ------- fast as all get out. im still getting used to this newer style but let me say that so far i am EXTREMELY impressed with how well this is put together.

oh, and JD, as far as your link goes, that was on the first day thay shut down the download links.

then a couple days later (yesterday) they brought them back up and thats when i got my download.

ive had my Vista Ultimate with SP1 for over a year now, no problems.I heard as long as you dont do updates, you should have no problems.
