maybe you can tell my sponsors we dont know the Ks lol. I have ran 11.1@124 7 or 8 times not just once and we should get our first 10 at the next race if the track is good. We do LOTS of Ks and all the other series of engines Honda makes. In 3 year of beating the hell out of my own K I havent had any of these mysterious problems some of you speak of. Nether have any of our other Ks or my friends with Ks that we race with around the US. Now that you know who I am, how many of you bashing the Ks actually have any REAL experience building a K? Now what in the design of the K makes it any more prone to dropping valves or trannys than any other Honda series? Again I am not here to dis anyones setup, just to find REAL facts from the guys bashing the Ks.
Just out of sheer curiousity, how many time have you REALLY torn that block apart...come on now.

Lets see the dropping of the valves. First off, you should know that I myself own an RSX type-s if you cant read my sig. 40K on the clock. Cylinder head replaced under warranty at 37K due to Dropping a valve. The Tech who did the work is a friend of mine and he was more than happy to show me the lost keepers he found in the oil pan and the nice pretty dents in my pistons. Apparently this is a common problem, as HONDA CHANGED THE KEEPER PART # which in the automotive industry usually means
A. they had a problem and corrected it.
B. Found someone cheaper to make the part.

The kseries stock rods speak for themselves.

The trannys. Ahh where to begin. You havent torn one apart yourself have you? Let me put it in simple terms for you.

Mainshaft+countershaft excessive runnout= following symtoms:
shifter popping out
excessive trans noise
increased bearing clearance
grinding of gears due to syncro hub misalignment

Not that you really know what any of that means. You just need to remember......
rod shifters>cable shifters

questions? comments? etc?

LOL your right, we finished last year with the third fastest street NA FWD out there competing but we just guessed our way through it. You need to lay off the We have more experience with building Ks than any one here in the Midwest. My wife is a service adviser at our local Honda dealer and my right hand man is one of their lead techs. One more time, whats your best time with this big bad LS? Track times and wins say alot more than just talking. Also its Hondas fault you cant drive? So you were just driving down the road and the valve dropped on its own? Youve never seem a B series do the same thing? There are two different retainers in the B series so I guess they are junk too right? The only real problem youve brought up that is fact is the 2nd gear issue. I am not saying any series of engines is better than another, we build then all. Every series Honda has made has its pros and cons and the Ks are no worse than any others.

Someone should ask the K series nutswingers why if the K series is so godlike, how come the fastest SFWD car is a B series and not a K?

because the Bs can run a gt42r and the Ks only get to run a gt40, also the K cars have to weigh several hundred pounds more due to weight penalties because they want to hold them back to make the class more equal.

why do the ******** come here to e-brag about their ---- always have a right hand man? So are the B (is it B16) rods holding up well for you?

I have done nothing but turn local people away from cars with K series in them at higher miles. I'm sure it's great having the RSX/si under warranty but have some money saved up just in case. Oh yeah, I'm in the LS crowd going for that 300hp mark on a stock block. What I want to do next is build an LS rod/vitara motor and see what it can do.

I didnt come here to e-brag about anything but I did come to defend the Ks agents unfounded claims. Its no different than Vtec guys tossing out wrong info as to why you cant make power nonVtec when you and I both know you can. Theres a stock LS here making right at 400hp and only the valve cover has been off. Good luck with yours.

Its funny to watch the D series and LS guy talk big. Do see cars winning big races or setting records with D series or LS much less with cheap junk turbo setups? HELL NO. Do you with Ks? yep. I have been running the same K24 setup to 9000rpm in fist gear for 3 years now with no funny valve dropping and no other cars with Ks we have done have ether. The way some of you think why even build a Honda? Just get a GEO its just as good right?

I guess if you dont have any real facts to back up your BS then name calling is the next best thing?
You're a dipshit. tell me how the ---- this post aint "Coming here to start ----?"

OIr how is this not braggin?

Face it you can argue all you want but low buck trailer park kids own you for less and there is nothing in the world that can change that. enjoy your k series.
