well, it does take, time, dedication and money to run a site like this...thats certainly a part of it, i have never sugar coated the fact that I like to make money. i think most people do...

i like the fact that i love what I do, i help people out and i make money doing it.

at least I dont charge people $500 for a manifold that cracks in 2 weeks or never gets sent to them i suppose.

i've thought about many different scenarios about how to run this place. i thought about most of them after i purchased because I kind of rushed the gun as there were a few people after HMT. Jeff told me the price he wanted, it seemed fair and because I have a good business, I was easily able to come up with the money to send him.

One option was to charge member fees...that was quickly weeded out. The other option was to leave it as is...which of course is never a good idea. If you dont TRY something, nothing is going to change and if there isnt something more apparant than something needs to change around here, I dont know what is.

The last idea is to find good sponsors that bring a quality of character and product that help the members. Good sponsors post helpful tech answers and provide competitively priced options to budget minded members. I have LOTS of other ideas like HMT sponsoring meets in different sections of the country to allows people to meet each other. Getting vendors to do regular monthly give-a-ways and free product raffles.

The problem is, no one wants to do these things when every other post has the N Word in it or a JPG of Tub Girl.

I dont know how old you are or what life experience you have, but you couldnt be more wrong. Jeff didnt care about the money I gave him for this site...he sold it to me and considered the other people he asked about it because he respected them. Understand that the respect came first and the money came second.

When I drove up to Connecticut a few years ago and tuned 5 cars on the dyno for $500...it wasnt about the money. It was about those guys I helped and what I learned throughout that day and who I met and continue to know to this day.

Respect first and then you dont even have to worry about money...

change is very welcome. there has been alot of racial ---- just getting completely out of hand,some funny other not so much. racism used in a derogatory manner not only causes fighting and people getting butt hurt but said at inopertune times also makes you sound completely foolish. as far as alot of you guys talking money this and money that. noone purchases something and isnt going to try and make profit no matter what it is. Chris opted to buy this place thats his buisness,he wanted to own something he himself enjoys alon gwith others. the money will come as this place will expose him more to the general public. sponsors pay money sure but could you imagine what this place costs as far as bandwidth is concerned? **** in every ------- thread and ni$$er used as every other word makes us all look like idiots. if you feel the need to shout ni%%er every other word maybe this place isnt for you. i have absoluetly no problem what i do in my real life is my buisness and no im not afraid to call it like i see it be it any race. all chris is trying to do is clean this place up to attact sponsers note worty of alot of guys being on budget builds.. face it noone wants to sponser or even be apart of a place with **** in every place on this forum or be apart of racial biggitry associated along with it. face it change is here and its for the better..
