Still the point was you said that they were the first to the market with a clean diesel, but they were behind by 2 calendar years and 3 model years.

bluetec is a technology that was produced through a partnership with all the german manufacturers... Anyways the Mercedes is a suv thus a light duty truck so it doesn't have to meet the same standards as passenger vehicles

awesome 2 stupid ass comments in one thread. How many people here have color matched parts on their cars? exactly

also please explain to me how the 1.8t is fail? throw rods in it and the bottom end is good for 500+hp? and thats fail? versus all the bullshit that has to be completely built here to make any amount of power? for more then a week. on a mild tune a 1.8t can make around 200whp and over 240wtq....yup that must be a shitty motor.

my brother and sister both bought volkswagens at the same time. brother got a '03 jetta GTI, sister got a '03 4-door jetta. ever since, they have been having problems with them. currently the 4-door jetta does not run due to transmission failure after a timing belt going out at 80k. the gti had several sensors fail, the cat went bad, coil packs died, vacuum tubing continuously denigrates, and it has a leaky transmission.

These amazing 1.8t engines will be gladly sold to you.
