Re: Joined the 400hp SOHC club...on vitaras!!
thanks guys!
i do have a ported and polished head in my garage...im set on a zex cam, and prolly the edelbrock intake manifold...im still undecided on that...i would like to hit 450hp, i think its possible... this setup has also been running at over 20+ for over 9 months now!! i used to drive it daily until i bought an accord about 2 months ago...so yes its uber reliable, and has barely any issues just normal maintanence you would expect from a build like this....my timing is set at 6 degrees and i street tuned that with a homemade set of det cans so im pretty sure that my tune is on the conservative side and that is to ensure this motor stays around for a while... stock sleeves seem fine to me ive seen over 500 made on d-series sleeves...there are alot of other weaker components in a d motor than the sleeves. |

Nasty D, serious props.
Dynojunk operates by seeing how quickly engine can accelerate against a load. It is not able to vary load or hold engine @ fixed rpm aka "loading dyno" and that makes it useless to tune part throttle. You still spool on a Dynojunk just fine. |

man, thats awsome. Im tryin to convince a local guy to keep his D in his AWD integra. Hell, even if 400 is a rare case, it sure does mean that over 325 should be pretty easy to obtain.
Maybe a missed it but what turbo are you running? |
