haha stay with teh d man!! your the og when it comes to the single slam, trust me 400hp can be had cheap and easy!!

btw i have allready run 11's with it O0
11.98 @ 118 (track was real hot that day too...150+ track temps 145+ intake temps and a corrected alltitude of 7500ft above sea level :S ) on 22x8x15's that was with a bad boost leak that ive been tracking FOREVER. i finnaly found it the day before the dyno, it was a couple pin holes in my charge pipes weld....fixed it (along wiht a leaky coupler) and this car has never run so good before....3rd and 4th gear are white nuckle thats for damn sure!

im confident this car will go at least 11.3's at 123+ i just bought bigger slicks 23x8.5x15's and i cant wait to get back to teh track

Believe me I really wanted to stay d-series, but for the goals I have going with a b-series will be easier and cheaper. The problem with going d-series is the head will need serious money invested into it, plus getting a big turbo to spool fast and have a good powerband won't be as easy, I also didn't want to deal with head lifting issues, the power on pump gas won't be as much on the d-series either.

hey your HMT setup did a hell of a job! i cant believe that you lost hp by uncorking your exhaust..that had me mystified :S

Dynojet is a non-loading dyno. Boost is load dependent.

i run 20 psi on 93 pump with no signs of detonation. even in this summer heat! i agree the head needs some work but you dont feel it on the street...its not as pronounced as say an ls motor, where power just dies off....and i havent had a single issue with headlifting...maybe i have a freak motor or soemthing cause i dont experience any of the issues that other d-series owners do....maybe its my attention to details or my tuning...not sure. :S

Damn.

I bought some Vitaras about three years ago when FJT first started selling them, then sold them a year and a half ago...

I should have waited until after your dyno plot and sold them for $300. lol

Nice numbers. I didn't think it was possible on vitaras.

How long do you guys think this setup will last without a blockguard or filler? I aint knocking the setup, I love it and wow, congrats on the 400HP, the reason I ask is I plan around 300HP on my B16 with the only mods being ARP head studs, nippon racing pistons (similar to vitara material) and Thicker cometic head gasket, I want to break in to 12's but also want to have a reliable daily driver.

It should last a long time if it's tuned well. Stock sleeves can handle a lot of power. Block guards are crap and don't do ---- anyways.

Your setup should be fine. I ran 12's in my stock d-series coupe, so I would expect 11's with a b-series turbo setup.
