nope but having more water than antifreeze can easily crack a sleeve/head gasket/block though

if it freezes your screwed... mine was, i had it sit in front of a kerosene heater for about 2 hours before my block thawed enough to where water would start to flow. head got hot but the block was like ice when i found out what was wrong.

thats what i was saying that too much water and not enough antifreeze would freeze inside the block and when it thaws out creates excess pressure and could very easily lift the head

yea if its 20 degrees outside...

just having a little bit of anti freeze in the motor will stop it from freezing unless its -10 outside.

See it was straight though and I acutally started it and let it idle for like 7 mins before I left then about 15mins later is when I was driving it all of a sudden just unleashed the smoke.

I went back to my car to get my gym bag. Went to the gym, changed, got one set in, went back to locker room to fill my water bootle, unscrewed the cap, and there was ice all around the lip where there was a little bit of water from LAST FRIDAY. The back was indoors for a little bit and STILL froze what little water around the lid indoors. That's just an example of HOW cold it really is.

Like I said before, my Dad dumped the anti-freeze in the car and it was different which you SHOULDN'T do, but it says it mixes with any kind, so who knows. :-\ The whole ice block thing makes sense, but then why aren't any other cars having this problem for one and for two why did it happen like 15mins later? The car was already warming to running temperature and AT running temperature probably ATLEAST 5 mins before the smoking.

BTW guys, I really appericate all the help and posts you guys are throwing out there. They're all greatly appericated and taken into thought, just don't want you guys to think you're thinking for nothing and let you know that getting my car in running order is quite important as it is my main DD to school. Thanks again, HMT. ;) ;D
