Honestly, I Can't Explain It...

Same exact scenario as before with the smoke only THIS time it's tonsss of white smoke. I get to school and feel inside the exhaust and it's milky and it's antifreeze. I didn't boost ALL day and haven't been boosting hard. HOW DO YOU BLOW A HEADGASKET WITH ARPS AND CRUISING IN VACCUM!?!?! Honestly, though this is quite ridiculous. I've NEVER seen so much smoke in my life, yes it beats the last expierence in smoke volume. My Dad decided to put anti-freeze in my car last week in the tank because it was low and my guess is there was TOO much and the pressure blew the HG. I would figure it would blow out of the tank though. None the less, the car runs fine and smoke progresses as throttle is increased. Oh yea, does it have anything to do with it being like -15* outside?

Cliff Notes: ARPs + Crusing = Blown HG symptoms. Why?

well the whether being that cold would have something to do with it depending on what your antifreeze mixture is... if it had more water than antifreeze it could have froze in your block and when it thawed it created enough pressure to blow the HG but if you had more antifreeze to water or just straight antifreeze then maybe due to the cold the block froze and when it got warmed back up it lifted the head (freeze=contract warm=expansion) other than that it could only be they were improperly torqued but as thorough as your are i doubt that but pop the valve cover off befor you strip it all down and check the torque of the headstuds

It was checked when we put on the studs which was a while ago so doubt that.

I'm going to kill my Dad? Yes, question mark. I was low as stated and he grabbed some random anti-freeze that said you can mix it with whatever. Your explanation is pretty good and it'd be more anti-freeze than water if ANYTHING. You're correct, it was sooo long ago and we're pretty thorough (thank you) so I doubt not torqued enough.

Here`s the deal....it's at school and I say drive it because it is on the top level floor and there is not much room for a tow truck on campus anyway. It's soo cold though I might just drive it 25mins to my buddies place. I mean, what's it going to do warp the head? A head shaved is going to be much easier and cheaper to deal with then a towtruck 50+miles home. Anyone agree?

Just so long as you don't run out of antifreeze completely and run the motor hot it'll be fine.

EXACCCCCCCTLY!

Atleast, that's what I'm thinking. I was going to drive it from school to buddies (16miles) then from there home is like 50miles, but I was thinking about making like 2 stops on the way home and let it cool, then again heating and cooling could be worse for warpage. The absolute worst case scenario is it gets hot and cracks a sleeve and I figure as long as I keep and eye on the temp gauge I SHOULD be okay, should, haha. I don't think my parents understand that I can't just LEAVE chem lab to move my car out of the garage so they can tow it 60miles not too mention how much MONEY that tow will cost, ahhhhahahahahaaaa. :S Riiiiiiiight, haha. :X

I'm up for suggestions on how to get it 60miles home with towing being like not even an option. Anyone else confident it me driving that smoking dragon in short legs?

Just drive it, it's cold as ---- out. Blast your heat.

Or get AAA, free towing up to 100 miles 8)
