ok ball joint, crown nut, cotter pins not in the picture wtf is the other thing

It holds the balljoint so it doesn't fall out of the control arm. :1 Let me guess, you didn't take that off before you tried hammering the ---- out of it trying to remove it?

A small man with a hammer and some experience could free that joint in 3 to 20 whacks.
