T-25 turbo project fail *VID*

Re: T-25 turbo project fail *VID*
So i put in a functional boost gauge and it all makes sense (kind of). Boost spikes to 15psi, drops to 5, and then slowly rises to about 8. No wonder i wasn't impressed thinking it was 13psi. I guess this ghetto boost controller that im running needs to go. Do they make 15-20 psi wg springs?

just my suggestion i wouldnt run that CDM turbo that hard, your gonna turn your FM into a parts/oil catcher real fast, i've got an A6 forged internals CDM TD05 at 10psi HF mani ported with AF's right around 11.9 and timings at 20deg full boost, think it's around half deg of retard per lb/boost. building a Bullseye s256 right now and plan on strayin it with meth and turnin it up. stickin with ls1 and 2 cars right now no prob!!! Aimin for 300 - 350 daily driver. pretty conserv tune. Make a cheap det. can! they work!

Well that should be already done if your runnin a turbo, make the catch can, then run the breather that vents to atmosphere back to the inlet side of the turbo so in a sense the turbo is pulling the crack case air out of the engine and creating vac. which is a good thing! keeps rings seated during boosting and less air for crank and rods etc. to be moving through.
A "Det. Can" on the other hand is something totally diffrent. A det can is to listen for Knock or Detination. All you do is take a lil 1/4in copper tube about 2in long flatten one half and bolt it to the block somewhere prefferably closest to the combustion chamber. Take a 1/4 rubber tube and push it over the other half of the copper tube and then run it into the car. go pick up a cheap stethiscope from autozone etc. and plug in your hose you'll be listenin for a lil pinging sound. ALOT cheaper then aftermarket Knock sensors, and you still get noise and false knock with those also.
