Default sill having problems

I replaced the dist. cap and rotor, but it has the same problem as the first time, about 5000 rpm, you can hear popping noise from the exhaust, but it only happens on WOT. Anyonehave this problem.

i have the same problem. But it's nothing big. It's something to do with the oil. But forgot what.

what is your plug gap? tighten it up, if u havent already. i had that prob on my honda..left it at stock .044(dont ask) reduced it to .030 now the problem is gone. Also what's your timing at? it should be retarded...usually around .75 degrees per 1psi(ex. 8 psi = 6 degrees retard). though timing would usually cause detonation. just a suggestion dont know what you have already tried.

Timing is 2 degrees retarded on the dist. and .3 on the BTM. I have all MSD ignition . How could the oil make that problem.
