Looking good so far.You really need to borrow a pressure washer and grab a can of degreaser for that engine bay though.Should make some good power though

Be careful not to give too much timing or your motor will detonate.
To set ignition timing you first have to jump the harness near the heater blower.
Then with a timing light see what the timing reads. If your dizzy cant move any more just adjust the cam gear and
check your timing again. My cam gear is retarded 7 degrees or so and my ignition timing is 16 degrees.
But what do I know?

Not much of anything if your cam is retarded 7 degrees for no reason.

Set your whole ignition map to 16 degrees, and then set your base timing with the distributor. Set your ignition map back to normal, and adjust the cells where it idles until it idles nicer.

Adjustable cam gear is nice if your head/block was decked/milled but otherwise you don't really need one.

Pretty nice build on this one.

I still agree with others on degreasing the engine bay but whatever, I'm sure you'll get around to it sometime.

How are the motor mounts holding up with that masking glue ----? Does it vibrate rough?
