Re: my d16a6 build
yeah its thin, o well. i could give a ----.
i havent seen anyone have probems with the 76mm and im not to worried.
this gives me a real nice bore and after posting your supposed to true everything anyway.
the compression shouldnt be that bad, i never calculated it but the 76mm raises it a point or 2 and the head was resurfaced.

Re: my d16a6 build
yep, ive heard all kinds of stories, it might let go it might not. it was more of a learning experience to see what was involved with rebuilding it. its on a cheap manifold with a cheap wastegate. once my welding gets better i am going to change it out for a different setup.

Re: my d16a6 build
Don't get sucked into just having a name brand on everything. There's nothing wrong with your stuff. As long as it holds together why replace it? If it ain't broke don't fix it. What's that blue ---- you have between the block and tranny? You seal that thing together or something?

Re: my d16a6 build
yeah didnt know if i needed to, cant hurt anything can it?
also does anyone have like a diagram of how to hook the vaccum lines up on the wastegate? im a little confused, there is two holes for a vacuum line and i dont know if i need to have both hooked up?
if you look at the pictures i wanted to move the line to the side of the wastegate instead of the top and i seen a hole in the side today so can i just plug the top hole and run the line to the side?
and can i just use the nipple that is on the compressor housing to connect the wastegate?
