OEM T3 turbine housings interchange, except for the Mercedes unit I've never seen which apparently has a slightly larger turbine wheel from what I am told.

 

very nice, i know of 2 engines that were built in dorm rooms, but our dorms have an elevator, just gotta bug the cripples for the key. i cant imagine carrying that thing down 3 ------ flights, i would built a sled/ghetto pulley system and slide it.

 

well pistons are back out...decided to check why its so hard to turn over..appears the bearings arent shaped right..the ends of each side of the bearing have a lot of wear on them and ive turned it over about 4 times...glad i checked this. so now i gotta contact northern auto parts and see what the deal is.

 

For the turbo just get the exhaust housing or hell get the whole turbo if you can since the compressor housing on that chrysler turbo is retarded also.

 

ill see what i can find..i got a friend whos uncle owns a salvage yard, so ill see what i can find. he said hes got lots and lots of chrysler turbos, but as ive found out already...chryslers are dumb

 

Yank the heads, don't even try to get the turbo off with the head still attached to the block. If you do it that way, it gets pretty easy.

 

well...havnt posted in a long time...still getting this damn thing put together....except i got a different car now...pretty much the same, but different...anyways here we go
this is how the car looked when i bought it



it sat for six years in this exact spot till i found her
towed it to school and it sat here for a week

took it to my buddies garage and swapped out the motor, drove the car for a couple days before i washed it, did a quick wash...looked like this

drove it like this till the weekend and spent about 3 hours washing, buffing and waxing it to a nice shine...looked like this




got two new tires for the stock 15" rims...now i just need some rims that look good in 15" i dont have any pics of that time, but you will see in the louver pics what it looks like there...and yes, i will be getting another pair of them

the first pimped-out escort GT I recall was highschool. some rich midget bought one fairly new at the time. he looked extra-tiny because of the gigantic windows. My dad also had an escort wagon that caught on fire in front of the car dealership...lol

You should realy try for a cosworth engine...the only time I'd drive an escort. But keep up the work on that 1.9 EFI, HO! :P
