hi, my name is austin, im from havre montana. i am currently building a turbo motor for my 86 ford escort GT(yea im sure ill be flamed for this). anyways i just wana let everyone know what i have going here. i am currently in the process of building a low compression 1.9 that has been bored .40 over. i have a rs turbo manifold from the uk, a t3 turbo from a chrysler lebaron an intercooler from a probe turbo and an ebay bov. i have more stuff to buy, but this is where i am at. i figured that my car is kinda the definition of a homemade turbo being as how i dont think i have a part that matches any other part. anyways i just wanted to say hello. i have lots of questions to ask, but i need to search and see whats been asked already.

sounds good got any pics of your mis matched setup.

 

Bolt a stock 2.3T in there. You'll have to cut into the frame rail a little and build an engine mount because the 2.3T is a little longer than the 1.9, but it is a much better engine.

I have a built Ford Escort too. The later on though (ZX2). I'm waiting for a radiator fan and then dyno tuning.

 

what year is your zx2? my buddy had a 98 zx2 that we did some work to, till i wrecked it for him. thanks for checkin it out and the responses. right now im kinda workin on figuring out some of the little technical ----, but im getting there. hope to be boosted by the end of the year
