well ive never heard of a broken cvh block...in fact on my escort forum there is a guy who just ran 23.5 psi on a stock short block. he was tuned for 18 psi so he blew it up after a while...but damn. when he did blow it up he shattered a piston and bent a rod..thats it. he said he chirped the tires into 4th gear too, so he was pushing quite a bit of power. i just cant wait to get this thing done...and im getting very close. and thanks again for the welcomes..

more updates...i have a short block assembled now. yes that chair is my engine stand lol. all the plastigage came out just perfect on the bearings...so im ready to roll.
