Re: DSM turbo set up on F22b DOHC accord

Here is some REAL WORLD/first hand experience from someone who's owned afew DSM's.

Stock 1g, we feed those turbochargers from the head. I've personally switched to feeding an Evo3 Big16 to the filter housing and it was getting owned by oil presure. On the 2g's, they run T25's as you know and are fed from the oil filter housing .. they like a lot of pressure. And trust me, a DSM without b-shafts makes just as much oil pressure as a tight bearing'd Honda motor.

So in closing, I'd say a restrictor on the 14b and 16g isn't a bad idea.

Also, I don't post on here a lot I realize.... but I could do without all the JEWS and ------S etcetcetetc. It brought nothing to this thread except to highlight your lack of intelligence. I'd tell you that on NESS or any of the other local forums too (I'm in Des Moines). This bullshit is one of the reasons I DON'T post on here much.

yes but not a 100 percent somthing you have to use or else. all i was saying is you can get by without it

by the way no one will believe you since your from iowa like me, and we are all just a bunch of inbread red necks who have no idea what we are talking about

thats like saying you can get by without real engine management....its ------- retarded.

many people have got away with it and havent blown up their engines. now, is it smarter to run engine management(or in this case, an oil resitritor)?

it costs less than 20 dollars. why not do it?

we all know you can do without it, but to keep on arguing about how you dont need one and how someone else is wrong and other bullshit is ------- retarded. stfu already.

You're right, it's not 100% all the time, but still not a horrible idea.

Everyone has different experiences with this too. I had a SVO t3 on my old Civic that was fine on the stock d15b7, i blew that motor up and put in a low miles D16Y8 and suddenly I had massive smoke/oil blow by on the turbo and had to run a restrictor....

On my current setup on the teg I have a restrictor from ATP I think (I forget now, I've had the restrictor forever) and I didn't *think* I'd need it with a -3 feed. What the hell I had it, and I didn't feel like possibily ------- up my brand new PTE SC50 either heh, I'm not a rich man.

---

Far as being ignored from Iowa, I never ran into that during my tenure w/PGMFI or Uberdata projects :) I have seen it before though, and I agree that often being from BFE doesn't help.

v-tec motor oil pressure is high as ---- that is why.

dude, you really don't have to run a restrictor, i don't

i think the 14b is gonna be too small. i've got a .60/.48, it dies a little at the top end. personally, i would go with nothing less than a t3/t4 .57 trim.
