the 14b and 16g share that same compressor.

now search.

14b and 16g don't use the same compressor. They use the same turbine wheel, center section. DIfferent backing plate, compressor housing and turbine housing, the TH is interchangeable 16g being a 7cm^2, 14b being a 6cm^2. The 14b compressor wheel, all blades are the same height, 16g the blades are staggered like most garret turbos. The 14b compressor housing will have 49178- 01 in raised lettering. I can find the Big 16g numbers but its on the car right now.

Sounds like you are talking about the compressor cover / center section snap ring. That thing can be a bitch. It really helps to have an extra set of hands. Its nothing compared the the one on my HX40 (RIP) though that fugger is huge.

i got it back in, the turbine housing is painted midnight blue (just like my mustang) i still have to get all the parts for it, intercooler, chargepipes, downpipe ect... but im drilling the holes on the manifold to fit on the head, the ports match up but the bolts dont so i gotta redrill them, im just gonna take it to my school and use the drill press, but so far so good with it
