Haha, yea I saw your mani and thought I'd ask. It's definitly a different kind of feeling isn't it? Like a late powerband, but boy does it PULL after that!!! For you, once you get boost cranked I'm anxious to see how dramatic the change is THEN! Ought to be sweet.


Filter....Advanced Auto, right? Saw someone say that, and you think it'd fit with P/S? How much was that JDM part? Thanks.

I donno about still being able to fit p/s in there. I doubt it but I suppose, I just measured the space and there's about 2.5 in between the fillter and the chassis. even with a smaller turbo I honestly dont think it would fit. I think it ran me $20.

Ugh........dang. Thanks a TON for going out and measuring that for me though, ha. I was wanting a guesstimation and you came in with the real deal, nice. Well I can get one maybe and route it up. I need a better solution than a screen and these bigger turbos are all 3" inlet and I have no couplers or piping for that. I'll figure it out, thank you.


Oh yea, all looks money. Crank the boost, report back, go to the track, get low numbers.

My turbo has a 4" inlet, and that filter accomodates 3, 3.5, and 4" via some rubber inserts.

If you look at most dyno graphs that also show boost, its common for the motor to hit full boost, then it 'opens up' a short time later and makes max torque. My opinion is that it is running higher exh mani pressures to accellerate the turbo, then as the pressure falls to that which maintains a certain speed/boost level, you get the extra torque. In other words lower exhaust manifold pressures = more torque. I've never looked into it fully.

hey ifly87 any update about the ostrich thing, im not getting a cel but when i run it the car will redline at like 4k. but with the same map on a burn chip it would run fine.

nice build btw!

I called craig moates tonight, he walked me through some ---- on tunerpro and found that it should be working fine, so he told me to send it back to him and he would replace it for me, +100 for good customer service. Its just a faulty product it happens i'm not upset about it.

So I go to pull out of my driveway I 've been hearing a slight whine when I let out the clutch for the first time when its cold, amlolst like a throwout bearing whine. Anyway I just pull out of the driveway and I hear a extremely loud rattle, almolst like a rod knock but it was instant and I wasnt beating it at all. I pull over and pop the hood and notice the cam gear is at its limit for adjustment, wtf, I had it dead set at 0 degrees. I could spin all 3 screws with my fingers, so i pushed it home, reset it and tighened em down and it seems to be just fine. What could cause this? I left that upper cover off because the inner cover bolts kept loosening up on me and I want to be able to keep my eye on them.
