Default cheap and effective D series vented catch can setup

Last motor went from crank pressure (i think) so i wanted to come up with a better PCV solution than i tried previously.

these pictures should be self explanitory...

the catch can is made from 2.5" exhaust, with 1/2" OD tube nipples and a 1" OD tube nipple for the filter.

the black box has a 1/2" OD tube welded in so its not being restrictive anymore. (inlet is 1").

Run the two 1/2 inch hoses from the black box to the catch can, and run another 1/2 inch from the VC vent to the can. I think i might have a local shop weld in a 1/2" nipple on the VC so I can vent it some more, and add another to the can.

All in all it cost me about $35 including hose and filter.

I was going to try doing something close with an old fan stand that was being thrown out, but metal was way too thin.

Looks decent for $35. Just sand it a little and slap some pink paint on and its done.

Pretty much what I have but I can't weld so I had to get a catch can made.

I did go back and change the placement on the black box bung to be above the baffle so I don't get overflow issuses (hopefully) I just pulled the rubber grommet/ plastic fitting out bored it out and had it welded there.I would have got the fittings on your can slightly higher so if it does push oil it doesn't just drain it back in.

nice can... same idea.

i wanted atleast 1 of the nipples on my can at the very bottom so it would drain back in when there is no pressure. im too lazy to empty that ----.
i also didnt want the nipples close to the exit/filter because i didnt add any baffling. gonna see how it works out.
