cheap, effective water/alcohol intercooler misting
ok, how bout this-
i know you need a fine mist for effective evaporation of any alky/h2o mixture you wanna spray, and i've found a really common object us turbo guys have that mists really well- the stock 230cc injectors. all u gotta do is either apply constant voltage to them or take the little diaphragm out so they are open all the time, and hook the back up to a line going to the washer tank. you get your pressure from the washer pump, and boom. easy, great misting intercooler sprayer. i've got 4 of em (duh), so i was thinking of making two spray the intercooler, maybe one spray the radiator, and i was considering one in the intake charge (i need to do more research on effective placement and proper amounts though). thoughts?

hmmm so just take some hosing and clamp a injector to the hose and the hose to the pump? then just wire a toggle switch to the pump or just use your wiper switch and disconnect your wipers so they don't go off everytime you want to spray you ic and into your chargepipes? what do you mean by the diaphram in the injector? wouldn't you want a mist in the chargepipe otherwise if you remove the diaphram would it make it just squirt out otherwise?

you need constant voltage if you want it constant open.
this is a great idea until you realize that for some reason fuel injectors were designed work with fuel. This doesn't seem like a problem until you realize that fuel doesn't rust things and water does, so after a while the injector starts to rust and then it breaks and you're fucked. just order the spray nozzle from mcmaster, it's only about $5 or less.
search mcmaster.com for mist nozzle and look at the ones around part number 3178K67, I don't remember which one exactly I got, but it's similar to that one.
