Turbo I bought
Hello,
I bought a turbo from someone on this site and had a question or two about it. I was told that it was custom built by Blaast for a D16 motor so i grabed it while I could. I'm sure the guy who sold it to me isn't tring to trick or con me, it's just the more I learn about them and see what others have used, it looks like this turbo is a little big for a del-sol si. It wasn't untill after I bought it that I noticed the intake flange was so big, I'm guessing it is a 4". Here are the specs he sent me and some of the message:
its a t3/to4e its a .50/.63 with a .70 compressor housing. i had it specifically built for a D-series and should spool up extremely fast and put out around the upper 300hp range and hold boost till 8K ...the turbo has just been rebuilt and customized by blaast performance and has ZERO miles on it its max is 30 psi so you have a lot of room to play with...i actually am selling the turbo for cheaper than i pay'd for the custom rebiuld
I'm sure I got it at a great price so if it isn't right for my car, i can trade or sell it and get something else, but I dont' want to spend the cash on the filter and all the pluming and then decide I should be using something else. My budget is very tight. I probably won't continue with it untill after we recover from buying the kids christmass gifts. I'm not looking for max Hp right now. I want something that will not lag too much and has good throttle response. THank you
