bump because im thinking about slapping on the stock cams and see how that goes or i might just get slapp on my stock ls head for now. since this head is milled and timing might be off just a bit

 

Take a better shot of your cam gears.

flywheel is used, but it was taken off his car a few days ago. no rust or anything, looks good to go.. i even turbo'd my T3 with this thing, and it pulled. could it possibly be a flywheel problem NOW? i mean gears do go in great, shifts fine. but when boost kicks in, its pretty slow not really like its lagging or anything (the turbo just gets louder till it hits 8psi and u could hear it from blocks) but the car isnt moving much, shifts then blows off
i seriously narrowd it to the littlist thing, i just dont want to do soemthing yet till i really find out, but this is forcing to narrow it down

when doing your cam timing did you use the holes in the cams to line it up or just eye ball the cam gears and yes the intake cam is advanced 5* .we dont need another pic.... it really sounds like timing man .... id take the time and redo it again and use a lil screw drive to put through the wholes and then make sure you crank is at tdc

 

yes i did use the holes on the cams to line it up with the cam cap hole, and NO it is not advanced at all on the intake cam. when i get home, ill take more pics so i can show u guys. a local friend of mines also said it could be the map sensor, even if the car wasnt throwing CODES at all, no CEL or anything.

 

aren't you supposed to advance the timing when the head is milled? depending on how much it is milled you timing might be retarded

 

not arguing with you but in that picture it IS definately advanced .. here is a lil help look how the mark on the gear is with the number 5 i might have made the pic to small but your advanced 5 on the intake and retarded 2 on the exhaust buddy

 

You are trying to determine the setting of the cam gears using a 2 dimensional picture when the gears are 3 dimensional.The picture is at an angle and the marks are recessed compared to the outer ring. It is probably at zero for both.

 

i just made a lil clip of the...
idle, 1-7k's RPM's 2nd gear pull, and -20vac to 8PSI 2nd gear pull again
but it came out shitty as hell, no sounds or anything because i used my digi cam for it
but im almost sure your going to tell me everything seems normal, but the RPM's moving soooooooooooo slow, its smooth but not climbing up FAST
