ok, sohc turbo tuned with hondata. Car runs good when i slowly ease up the rpms. But if i go to floor it it seems like i hit boost cut and wont boost all the way up to what it should be at. I am not sure if i when driving boosted cars you must ease the rpms up to get the most power or what. if i slowly work the rpms up it runs perfect but when i just outright floor it it seems like a hit a brick wall power wise. any ideas? Oh yea and when i go to floor it i hear some sort of loud popping noise. any ideas?

The loud "popping" is probably a miss fire. i had the same problems. you need to check all your plugs and plug wires for connectivity, also, regap your plugs. that helped me out a ton. no more misfires.

also could be your tune.

 

Engine popping noise or charge piping popping noise? Engine popping noise is bad, as in pinging, but if it sounds more like a pop it might be something with your turbo. If your detonating check your tune.

 

ok i drove it to school today. now its cutting out really bad. so the suspect is going to be the plugs (let it cool off and then check them). but the plugs are brand new ngk v power plugs and i gapped them at .028. Should i change the plug gap??
