You need to swap in an OBD-1 tranny to make it work with a conversion harness.

if your planning on running any sort of power i would do a 5sp swap or swap cars.....

honda autos are crap

there are people around on boosted autos that make decent power just i woul dbe iffy on it

Auto trannies are the best on the drag strip. Much cleaner launches, less wheelspin, better utilisation of an engine with a short power band, quick gear shifts. A car
However to make them work on a turbo car you need a race prepped transmission with a transbrake or a small converter and some nitrous. Loading the converter against the brakes also works on a front wheel drive car but you need a very strong left foot to keep the car from going out of the beams

ok, good. so i can run a chipped ecu with the automatic tranny? i'm not looking to swap transmissions, because it seems like it's more of a pain than it's worth. thanks guys for the replies.
