I am doing a trans swap comming up. I know that I need new axels, but do I need both new?? I thought that I heard it is one of them that is not the correct length. Thanks in advance.

Now I just talked to a local guy, he says that he used his auto axels for his swap. This is gettn' fuckn' confusing.

i've never personally done an auto to manual swap, but i've never heard of anyone having to use different axles.

I seriously wonder why that is , I am being totally serious to. I know some people don't like me, but damn, didn't think it was everyone.

I think I am gonna just go with the auto ones and see what happens. I looked up all the part numbers, and only the CX had something different for it's AT/MT axels.

Thanks for the info guys

don't forget to buy a manual starter because they are differant (learned the hard way), and you will need a few bolts also. my front tranny mount bolts weren't long enough to go in because the manual mount is thicker and the starter bolt needs to be longer.
good luck

I knew about hte starter, not the bolts though. I have been picking a few ppls brains, this is good ---- to know now instead of running to napa 10 times like usual on a major project.

yep, on my d15b vtec i got one that wasnt quite long enough so it only went like 3 threads deep and stripped em out.

axles, i bought new ones cause mine were toast anyways, but they looked the same.

yeah usually the bolts are different. On my accord the drivers side axle was different, the cv joint and the axle length were different i think was the issue
