I don't think he'll have to do too much work to the firewall if he's keeping the shifter in the stock shifter opening. I think he'll have to do more work to the the oilpan or crossmember and radiator support then the firewall IMHO. Then build a new trans tunnel for the driveshaft.

I had this same idea with a ek and i was looking at the cross member thinking like what the ---- am i gonna do with that. when you get in to it post alot of pics so I can copy it and tell every body i came up with the idea first seeing as i dont have any real talents or imagination to do things on my own :'(

still in tear down mode. all i need to remove is the brake lines, then i can start cutting steel. i'd also like to dry-ice the floor on the interior to remove all the sound deadener. has anyone else done this before? any tips? i don't plan on putting any carpet back in once it is done. i have something else planned for the floor. the fuel cell and battery box will be going bye bye. i'm going to make new ones.
