I don't think he'll have to do too much work to the firewall if he's keeping the shifter in the stock shifter opening. I think he'll have to do more work to the the oilpan or crossmember and radiator support then the firewall IMHO. Then build a new trans tunnel for the driveshaft.

That's bullshit, our natural reaction is to get excited. It's like telling someone not to be offended and saying something rude, we can't promise not to be offended.

Now with that said, where's the updates? Its' been like 8 days already :6

You could look into a Miata steering rack, the seem to be popular with the "7" kit cars

That's really only because Miatas are popular as complete donor cars for Seven replicas. Those guys use practically the entire car, minus the body panels.

still in tear down mode. all i need to remove is the brake lines, then i can start cutting steel. i'd also like to dry-ice the floor on the interior to remove all the sound deadener. has anyone else done this before? any tips? i don't plan on putting any carpet back in once it is done. i have something else planned for the floor. the fuel cell and battery box will be going bye bye. i'm going to make new ones.

i took some measurements and it looks as though i will have to move the gas pedal and brake pedal about 2 inches towards the clutch pedal. not a big issue.
