The only trouble I really had was when I did the ignition mod wrong on the V2.2 board. I used the wrong resistor or something - it said to use a 1.2k Ω resistor and I used a 1.0k Ω instead... "That'll be close enough." It wasn't.
I still haven't really done any tuning... but I've helped to tune a 2.3T Ranger with Megasquirt. It's pretty straightforward with a target AFR table and the analyzer built into the log viewer program.

The guys on msefi.com are pretty helpful, but they all seem to be pretty experienced computer guys, so they usually skip the basics. Pretty easy to get confused over there.
It seemed like people were being really secretive about this head swap a few years ago, so I started posting all the information I had.
