Neuman - I'm gonna get a set of Koni coilovers for the front, but I'd like to get the car running again before I blow another grand on the suspension.
I'm still trying to get the 5 lug stuff finished up, so I picked up some FC RX7 rotors. They're ~10.75" diameter and ~20mm thick, so I think I can still use the Varga calipers (from an 87-88 Thunderbird Turbocoupe.) I made an adapter with the emachineshop.com software and exported it in AutoCAD format - a friend's woman's brother operates a CNC Bridgeport and he's going to make a pair of these for me. They space the caliper outward 3/8" and rotate it upright. This bracket bolts to the existing brake adapter bracket (intended for use with 10" Turbocoupe rotors.) Since the rotor hat on the FC is ~1/4" shallower than the TurboCoupe rotor, I figure a 1/4" thick adapter plate will do the trick. I'll have it milled down if it's a little thick.
The nasty manifold is almost done... I still want to build a support brace for it:

I wrapped it now, so the nastiness isn't really visible. I only fluxcored runners 1 and 4, anyway... everything else is MIG.
I just finished upsizing all the exhaust manifold studs to 10x1.5... now I want to kill whoever designed this ------- flange, because the nuts are practically on the ------- primary tubes.
I'm getting a RHD front clip from a Cosworth. This oughtta be fun. :1
