Re:TurboEdit 1.29

The datalogger has to be redesigned, but yes, it will work. There is a new serial interrupt routine written by a "l3st4rd" at PGMFI that lets you poll all memory locations in the 8051. Sooooo in less techno-geek language, we'll be able to do whatever we want with the datalogging, including change values while we're driving (RTP)!!

Thanks PGMFI.. we lub ewe!

where do I plug in to get the information from my ecu to my computer?

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

You need a TTL -> RS232 converter and a serial cable.

Here are pics of my install (http://www.driftkids.com/pics/jason/ecu)

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

thanks.

why do the values for the stock pr3 only go to 7400? is there a way to make them go higher?

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

They do go higher, I just never got around to changing the grid, sorry.

I just used the same tabel creation routine for the second set of tables as I did the first only changing the values.. that should be fixed in 2.0..

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

in the future could the rpm points be user entered? is there something within the pm6 that prevents it from reving past 7.4?

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

They can't be user entered.

As far as being adjustable, that probably won't happen either.

For a bit of good news, I think Blundar is working on something..

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

so the lack of adjustability is for idiot protection?

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

No it's a limitation in the math used in the interpolation routine.

PR3/PW0 use a different' routine to figure out which tables it's going to use, however, it's still the 15x17.

Due to 8-bit math limitation of the 8051 microcontroller (Highest calculating number being 0xFF or 255 in dec, which happends to be 15x17, make sense?) , a different routine would have to be written to either A) incorporate a 16-bit math routine, or use Dave's loopup table routine for RPM rather than boost.. and like I said, I think he's working on that.

Re:TurboEdit 1.29

ya, I get that so far. so with dave's rpm loopup would boost capability be lost? and with this loopup could the pm6 rev past 7.4?
