Ok... So... If somebody is going to boost a D16A6, we would use the .bin boost file you can download with TurboEDIT, and would we have to change anything? I don't understand the tables at all, should they be changed? Also the timing, it says its set to one degree lower for boost. Maybe I should read up somewhere? hehe... I'm just overwealmed with the maps. You said its automatic done, but we have to enter in values, if anybody can help me understand this I'd appreciate it.

OK, I can help you out.. I'm currently working on a TurboEDIT Help file which will contain everything needed to know about using the software and tips on tuning.

It's not done, but if you want to take a look at it so far, you're more than welcome..

Anyway.. You can run the stock PGMFI Boost ROM if you'd like. Tuning maps is based on creating a target air fuel ratio through the car's "map trace". Small often forgotten fact is that your car doesn't use all of the cells on your maps. It'll only use a certin range based on your region's pressure as a base and the pressure generated by your vehicle. TurboEDIT's datalogging ability will show you your exact map trace. This will be key to tuning the correct part of your maps. (Feature will be available in the upcoming 1.20 release..)

Values in the maps are degrees BTDC in the Ignition, and Injector pusle duration in millisecons on the Fuel Map. You increase or decrease fuel based on your target ratio. You increase or decrease spark based on your cars ability to withstand detenation. IT's a fine balance.

As always, I am not responsible for damages created by using TurboEDIT. Please, if you don't know how ot use it, learn before you start messing with your tables.

Anyway.. Quick rundown.

Took lots of notes! But we only got free pizza :(

On another note...I burned the NA pr4 map in pm6 code. I think I may have a de-funked PM6 ECU as the check engine light is on...doesnt even blink. Hmm, what does that exactly mean? Car starts, idles high & erractically...let it sit there for a while and shut her off. Didnt have nay more time to play.

So, unless its a bad ECU...if I have no check engine lights when the stock ECU is in...and the check light is on when i put the PM6 in there, what else could it be? Any specific things i could check?

Could have burned the ROM incorrectly to the chip fouling the checksum.

You import the maps, or burned the maps? ..explain your process.

Come to #Honda-Perf on EFNet, and I'll walk you through it.

So far there are 7 people that I have personally tuned that are running like champs.

As far as new features?

Boost retard scaling for ignition maps - Enter the value of retard (.5, 1, 1.5, 2 etc) degrees per PSI, and TE will scale your ignition map.

Increased datalogging support: The Map Trace is done, now plotting of data, log files, and Map trace playback are planned.

What other features would you all like to see in TE?
