this is what im doing, same engine. Im using an F22 with 1/16" aluminum and making a small adaptor plate to get it to work, but my F22 distributor has the side that interferes with the thermostat housing ground down quite a bit, it misses the sensors etc but it does need to be cut in a ways. Then, you need to set the engine to cyl 1 tdc, then line up the distributor so itll be perfectly aligned with cyl 1 tdc (go by the cyl 1 TDC sensor and wheel), so what youll need to do is redrill the pin that holds the distributor drive gear that fits into the end of the cam so the timing wont be 100-150 degrees off or whatever it is (the distributor is in a wayyyy different orientation than it used to be), but its a large amount. Just make sure you can rotate the distributor a bit in either direction so youll have some adjustability when putting this together.

is it? the square part of the dizzy mounts upward to be right side up. all the F22 dizzies i've seen mount in a Y pattern as well... elongate the holes if necessary.

but if you NEED to mount it so that the third leg points upward, just take off the drive key on the end of the shaft and turn the distributor 180* and reinstall it. no wire swapping necessary. takes all of 5 minutes. how has no one come up with that yet?

nothing anyone has posted thus far suggests otherwise. it was almost that simple to mount an OBDI honda dizzy in a TOYOTA engine for christ sake. you're grossly overthinking this. KISS!

It'll throw off your injector firing angle, car will idle like *** or pop at idle. That's a failure method.

There is only so much you can adjust ignition timing against what the ECU thinks is TDC with Crome. eCtune/Neptune you can disable ignition corrections with, although there's other stuff going on behind the scenes that isn't disabled, but if you get the dist advanced too much ?15-20 degrees? you're going to take a hit in the part throttle efficiency department.

Hold her in with one bolt, like chris said, and RTV will make sure you have no leaks.
