Default Throttle position settigns on VAFC2?

Well, ive got a vafc 2, and 450's in right now, timign retarded a bit, and the turbo is not in right now, sometime this week. BUt i need to figure out how to keep it from detonating. It does is at low rpms when WOT, and half throttle whenever. As long as i barely hit the pedel, or keep it in the upper rpms, it wont detonate.

The setting son the vafc are between -36% and -38%, which is really rich for no turbo, but it idles.

My question is, how important are the throtle position point settings. The write up in the FAQ says to set them one percent of each other, but the low throttle point will not go up past 49%. SO i have low set at 49% and high set at 50%. IS this my problem?

change the high setting first to 99 and that will allow u to raise the low. that should help. how are u retarding the timing? at the dist? make sure your turnin it the right way. ( i dont know i always forget so dont ask.)

Alright, ill try that, and to retard the dizzy timing, its rotating it clockwise, i hope, i was using a timing light when i set it to stock, then i kept trying to retard it a bit more, but today it seems to be detonationg off the hooK? Its weird.
