The adapter is what I planned. What I'm worried about is tuning it without having to also fabbing a new key to get the distributor rotor to be in the right place.

Make it out of 1/16th plate aluminum, if the bolt holes will work, it should be more than solid enough.

I like the cut + weld leg option, but not everyone has access to a TIG and I'm not sure how the sensors inside would like the extreme heat.

you could just take apart the dizzy while you're welding.....

Heres a Idea for you take a old LS cam cap

Stuff the nagger in the chop saw

Bolt too A20 head Negrow STYLZ


Then all you have too do is chop/grind/weld whatever ------- dizzy you want to fit

Wow. I LOL'd at the finger to the cam cap.

What's the smallest OBD1 distributor I could find? I "test fit" the distributor and it doesn't fit any way I turn it without grinding part of the thermostat housing neck and use a smaller bolt.

So grind the thermo housing and use a smaller bolt, an allen head one would probably work mint, I use those a lot when a hex head won't fit.

You already have this figured out, Steve even made you a nice writeup for it, just go do it already.
