My point being is there a need even for the adapter. Like I stated one bolt preferably the top one will be more than enough this coming from the obdo era of sohc vtec swaps

I have never seen a head from the Honda camp not have a dist have some what the same pattern, plenty in the obd1 world of cars. Seems like your making this harder than it needs to be but then again its an odd old car that I could care less about :1

The two distributors have reversed bolt patterns. That is to say, on the A20 head, the dizzy bolts in a Y pattern. For the F22 dizzy, the pattern is upside down.

With only one bolt holding it, wouldn't i have a problem with sealing it, thus leaking oil?

the leak will be very small I repped one bolt and god knows how many sohc vtec swaps in crx's before the era of obd1 ecu tuning with one bolt has there was no other choice. This was the accepted way to do this swap for well over 5+years before obd1 conversion harness was avilable. Thousands of swaps were done that way

Also the removing of a dist leg if it is in the way of a major item such has a water neck, vtec solenoid has also been done this is a cheap route so you can use a b18a1/b1 dist on b16a/b18c1 head when doing an ls/vtec

Basically what Im saying is hit up the junkyard look at patterns you would be surprised that one isnt that far off. Again I have being doing swaps for almost 10 years and majority of it well before the internet and well before Honda parts become worthless so I had to use what was around and with a little thinking it usually worked out

Most of that search has been done for me. D, B, H, F OBD1 dizzies are all the upside down of what I need, and none are close to fitting. The F is the closest though, since one of the legs of the F does bolt to my head, but I still need to know how much I can tune the timing from 0 degrees.

So back to the original questions. Can I rotate the plug wires without it crying, and how far from zero degrees timing can I tune out if need be?

This may be a stupid question, but what is the TDC reading used for exactly? Why can't it be... the BDC sensor? Lol.

I'm fairly certain it's used by the ECU to correspond the injector pulses to the ignition timing. Not positive, but I'd do everything I can to NOT have to clock your dizzy.

cut the existing mounting distributor legs and weld new ones, lol.

Or just makes a cheap *** adapter plate out of some thin aluminum.
